Indian Railways: Here is important news for rail passengers in Chhattisgarh. Keeping operational requirements and passenger convenience in mind, East Coast Railway has revised the arrival times for certain trains terminating at Puri and Bhubaneswar stations. This change affects a total of 10 trains associated with the South East Central Railway; nine of these terminate at Puri and one at Bhubaneswar. The revised timings for the respective trains will be effective between September 13 and September 17, 2026. According to the Railways, the schedules for other stations along the routes remain unchanged; only the arrival times at Puri and Bhubaneswar stations have been modified. Consequently, passengers should take note of the new arrival timings at the final destination.
Utkal Express to Arrive at Puri at 3:35 AM
Starting September 14, Train No. 18478 Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Puri Utkal Express will arrive at Puri station at 3:35 AM instead of 3:25 AM—a 10-minute shift in arrival time. From the same day, Train No. 20814 Jodhpur-Puri Express will also arrive at Puri at 10:45 AM instead of 10:00 AM, marking a 45-minute change in its schedule.
Timings Changed for These Express Trains Too
From September 16, Train No. 20917 Indore-Puri Humsafar Express will arrive at Puri at 7:00 PM instead of 6:45 PM. Meanwhile, starting September 15, Train No. 12145 LTT-Puri Express will arrive at Puri at 6:45 AM instead of 6:35 AM. Additionally, from September 13, Train No. 20862 Ahmedabad-Puri Express will arrive at Puri at 6:45 AM instead of 6:40 AM. Train No. 12844 Ahmedabad-Puri Express will arrive at Puri at 8:35 AM instead of 8:05 AM, effective September 14. Timings Changed for Ajmer, Surat, and Gandhidham-Puri Express Trains
Starting September 17, Train No. 20824 Ajmer-Puri Express will arrive in Puri at 3:05 PM instead of 2:40 PM. Similarly, effective September 16, the arrival time for Train No. 22828 Surat-Puri Express at Puri has also been changed from 2:40 PM to 3:05 PM. Meanwhile, from September 13, Train No. 12993 Gandhidham-Puri Express will reach Puri station at 3:05 PM instead of 2:40 PM.
LTT-Bhubaneswar Express to Arrive at 7:15 AM
In addition to the nine trains arriving in Puri, the timing of one train bound for Bhubaneswar has also been revised. Starting September 13, 2026, Train No. 12879 LTT-Bhubaneswar Express will arrive at Bhubaneswar station at 7:15 AM instead of 7:00 AM.
No Changes to Intermediate Station Timings
According to the Railways, the arrival times at the final destinations of the respective trains have been adjusted by intervals ranging from 5 to 45 minutes. This revision has been made keeping operational requirements and passenger convenience in mind. The Railways clarified that the changes apply only to the arrival times at Puri and Bhubaneswar stations; there are no alterations to the scheduled arrival and departure times at intermediate stations along the route. Consequently, passengers can travel according to the existing timetables for their respective boarding stations.
