Deadly Firing on Sukhbir Singh Badal: A deadly attack has been made on Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal. An attempt was made to shoot Sukhbir Singh Badal, who is serving religious punishment in the Golden Temple in Amritsar in the sacrilege case, on Wednesday morning. However, Sukhbir Singh Badal narrowly escaped in this incident. The attacker had fired a bullet. The firing of the attacker in front of Darbar Sahib created a stir in the Golden Temple premises. However, the people present there caught the attacker. This deadly attack on Sukhbir Singh Badal took place when he was serving his religious punishment as a gatekeeper outside the Golden Temple.
According to the information, The attacker Narayan Singh Chaura has been a terrorist of Babbar Khalsa International. He had gone to Pakistan in 1984. There he has been helpful in smuggling weapons into Punjab.

Actually, Akali Dal leader Sukhbir Singh Badal was serving as a gatekeeper at the gate of Darbar Sahib. Then an attacker comes from the front and attacks him with a pistol. It is being said that the attacker has been involved in Khalistani activities. The name of the accused is Narayan Singh Chowda. The accused attacker has been accused of being involved in many violent activities in the past as well. At present, the police have taken him into custody and are interrogating him and trying to find out the motive behind the firing.

Sukhbir Badal reached Sri Darbar Sahib for the second day today to carry out the religious punishment pronounced by the Sikh supreme court Sri Akal Takht Sahib on the sacrilege issue. Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa, who was a cabinet minister in the SAD government, had come along with other leaders including Bikramjit Majithia. He was performing seva at the gate wearing the attire of a sevadar and holding a spear in his hand, when this attack took place. On Monday, 17 people including Sukhbir Badal were given religious punishment for the ‘crimes’ of the SAD government from 2007 to 2017. All of them will serve for 2 hours each in 5 gurudwaras for 10 days.

But I thank the true king that he put his hand on the head of his servant and he was saved. We condemn this incident on behalf of the party.
Our party has made huge sacrifices in Punjab. Today I want to question the Chief Minister of Punjab that it is wrong to attack such a servant outside Darbar Sahib. CM Mann should resign from his post. The attacker was caught on the spot. I thank the security personnel for saving him with courage.
Badal government got punishment in 5 cases
1. Complaint against Ram Rahim withdrawn In 2007, Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim in Salabatpura, following the tradition of the 10th Sikh Guru Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, dressed like him and pretended to give Amrit. A police case was registered against Ram Rahim, but the Badal government withdrew the case instead of giving punishment.
2. Sukhbir Badal got Dera Mukhi pardoned. Sri Akal Takht Sahib took action and expelled Ram Rahim from the Sikh sect. Sukhbir used his influence and got Ram Rahim pardoned. After this, the Akali Dal and Shiromani Committee leadership had to face the anger and resentment of the Sikhs. Finally, Sri Akal Takht Sahib withdrew its decision to pardon Ram Rahim.
3. Incidents of sacrilege were not investigated properly During the tenure of the Badal government, on 1 June 2015, some people stole the Bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib from Gurdwara Sahib in Burj Jawahar Singh Wala (Faridkot). Then on 12 October 2015, 110 parts of Sri Guru Granth Sahib were stolen from Gurdwara Sahib in Bargari (Faridkot) and thrown out. This caused great anger in the Sikh community. The Akali Dal government and the then Home Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal did not investigate this matter in time. They failed to punish the culprits. This worsened the situation in Punjab.
4. The Akali Dal government could not provide justice to Sikhs killed in false cases. Sumedh Saini was appointed DGP of Punjab. He was considered guilty of killing Sikh youth by carrying out fake police encounters in the state. Former DGP Izhar Alam, who formed Alam Sena, gave a ticket to his wife and made her the Chief Parliamentary Secretary.
5. Apart from Sukhbir Badal, those who supported his decision have also been sentenced for publishing advertisements using the money of the Sangat . This advertisement was published after the Dera chief was pardoned. In which about 90 lakh rupees were spent from the SGPC funds.
The accused has been a Khalistani terrorist

According to the information, the accused has been identified as Narayan Singh Chaura. According to the Indian Express report, he has been a member of the terrorist group Khalistan Liberation Army (now defunct). He has served a sentence for escaping from jail.
Connection with pakistan
According to sources, he had gone to Pakistan in 1984. There he used to help smuggle large consignments of arms and explosives into Punjab. While in Pakistan, he has also allegedly written a book on guerrilla warfare and anti-national literature. He is also an accused in the Burail jailbreak case. Narayan has previously served a sentence in a Punjab jail.

According to sources, the accused Narayan Singh Chaura was seen roaming around Sri Harmandir Sahib on Tuesday as well. ADCP Harpal Singh said that there were strong security arrangements. The attacker was here yesterday as well. Today he first bowed to Guru Ji.
