Free NEET-JEE Coaching: Preparing for national-level competitive exams like NEET and JEE will now become easier for meritorious students studying in government schools across Durg district. The School Education Department has decided to launch free, specialized coaching for selected students in classes 11 and 12. Regular classes are scheduled to begin in August. To this end, Dr. K.V. Rao, Joint Director of Education (Durg Division), held a meeting with subject-expert teachers on Wednesday to outline the plan.
Training to be Provided by Subject Experts
During the meeting, 40 subject-expert teachers from government schools in the district were briefed on the operational plan and their responsibilities regarding the coaching program. Dr. Rao noted that government school teachers are recruited through merit-based and competitive selection processes. Students will now directly benefit from their experience and subject expertise, enabling them to excel in exams like NEET and JEE.
Special Classes for Classes 11 & 12 to Start in August
Before the coaching commences, the selected teachers will undergo a three-day special training program. This training will be conducted by experts from reputed national-level coaching institutes. Teachers will be familiarized with exam patterns, the difficulty level of questions, effective teaching techniques, and modern strategies for competitive exam preparation. Regular coaching classes will begin in August following this training.
Coaching Schedule and Teacher Responsibilities Finalized
The meeting finalized the coaching schedule, subject-wise curriculum, and the specific responsibilities of each teacher. Officials stated that teacher duties have been assigned based on subjects and topics to ensure organized and high-quality preparation for the students. The Education Department believes that with timely guidance and the support of expert teachers, a greater number of government school students will be able to succeed in engineering and medical entrance examinations.
