NEET UG 2024 Controversy: On the NEET exam controversy, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, ‘There will be no compromise with the NEET exam. The exam will be made zero error.’ A high level committee will be formed for NTA, which will recommend ways to improve it further.
The Education Minister said, ‘The government will form a committee comprising technocrats, scientists, academicians, psychologists and people from the background. It will be notified soon. This committee will work to further improve the structure, functioning, exam process, transparency, transfer and data, security protocol of NTA.’

Supreme Court again refuses to stay NEET UG counselling
The Supreme Court on Thursday again refused to stay the NEET UG counselling. The court has said that after the final hearing, if the exam is cancelled then the counselling will also be cancelled.
Earlier on June 11, the Supreme Court had rejected this appeal. Today, a new petition demanding cancellation of the examination was also heard in the Supreme Court. This petition was filed by 49 students and Student Federation of India (SFI). The next hearing on this will be held on July 8.
The petitioners have demanded a background check and forensic investigation of the students who scored more than 620 in the exam. At the same time, a CBI inquiry has also been demanded into the allegation of paper leak.
Along with this, the Supreme Court has clubbed the petitions filed in the NEET UG case in Rajasthan, Calcutta and Bombay High Courts. Now these will be heard in the Supreme Court on July 8. The National Testing Agency (NTA) had made this demand. The vacation bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice SVN Bhatti is hearing this case in the Supreme Court.
The demand for counselling was rejected 9 days ago too.

This petition was filed by student Shivangi Mishra and 9 other students on June 1 before the declaration of the result.
