According to live updates, Prateek Yadav’s mortal remains were brought to his residence, where family members, political leaders, and supporters gathered to pay their last respects. His funeral is scheduled to take place on Thursday at 12:30 PM at Pipra Ghat in Lucknow.
Medical reports confirmed that Prateek Yadav died due to a cardiorespiratory collapse caused by a massive pulmonary thromboembolism, a condition in which a blood clot in the lung obstructs blood flow, leading to sudden heart and respiratory failure. Authorities stated that viscera and other samples have been preserved for further examination.
Earlier in the day, Prateek was taken to Civil Hospital around 6 AM, where doctors declared him brought dead. Initial reports suggest he had been suffering from health complications for some time and was recently under treatment at Medanta Hospital.
Following the news of his demise, several political leaders including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav expressed grief and extended condolences to the bereaved family. Senior leaders including Dimple Yadav and Shivpal Yadav also visited the residence.
Officials said that security arrangements were tightened around the residence as the body was brought home for final rites. Preparations for the funeral are underway with large gatherings expected from political and social circles.
