A court on Friday sent Samarth Singh, the husband of deceased MBA graduate Twisha Sharma, to seven-day police remand in connection with the ongoing investigation into her death case.
According to officials, Samarth Singh was produced before the court after being detained by the police as part of the probe into the suspicious death of Twisha Sharma, whose case has sparked widespread public attention.
Investigators informed the court that custodial interrogation of the accused was necessary to examine the sequence of events leading to Twisha Sharma’s death and to verify evidence collected so far. Police officials said multiple aspects of the case are being investigated, including the circumstances surrounding the incident, digital evidence, and statements of family members and acquaintances.
Twisha Sharma, an MBA graduate, was found dead under suspicious circumstances earlier this month. Her family has alleged harassment and foul play, demanding a thorough investigation into the matter.
Authorities said the remand period will help investigators gather further evidence and establish the facts related to the case. The police also stated that all legal procedures are being followed during the investigation. Further details are awaited as the probe continues.
