IND vs ZIM: India won the 5 match T20 series against Zimbabwe, Openers Shubman-Yashasvi hit fifties, defeated by 10 wickets in the fourth T20

IND vs ZIM T20I: Yashasvi Jaiswal and captain Shubman Gill made an unbroken partnership of 156 runs for the first wicket. India crushed Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the fourth T20. This is India's first series win under Gill's captaincy.

IND vs ZIM T20I: Team India defeated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the fourth T20 match on Saturday. This is the third consecutive win of the Indian team in this series. With this win, Team India has won the series with a lead of 3-1 in the 5 match series.

Captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to bowl at Harare Sports Club. Zimbabwe batted first and scored 152 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, India achieved the target in 15.2 overs without losing any wicket. The fifth match of the series will be played on July 14.

Chasing the target of 153 runs, the Indian team had an unbeaten partnership of
156 runs. Yashasvi Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 93 off 53 balls and Shubman Gill scored 58 off 39 balls.

Sikandar Raza played an innings of 46 runs
Earlier, India restricted Zimbabwe to 152 runs for 7 wickets with the brilliant performance of makeshift bowlers Shivam Dubey and Abhishek Sharma. Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza played an innings of 46 runs in 28 balls. But India’s fifth bowler Abhishek (20/1) and sixth substitute Dubey (11/1) kept Zimbabwe under pressure with a good bowling effort. They controlled the middle overs by dismissing the dangerous opening pair of Wesley Madhevere (25 runs in 24 balls) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (32 runs in 31 balls). Captain Raza, however, took Zimbabwe to a score of more than 150 runs by hitting three sixes and two fours in his innings. All Indian bowlers got wickets except leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi.

2. Shubman Gill, the hero of victory

Gill played a half-century innings. He scored 58 runs in 39 balls at a strike rate of 148.71. Gill’s innings included 6 fours and 2 sixes. Captain Gill made an unbeaten opening partnership of 156 runs in 92 balls with Jaiswal.

Khalil took two wickets in his 4 over spell. He conceded 32 runs during this period. He sent Dion Myers and Clive Madande to the pavilion. Khalil caught and bowled Myers.

3. Turning point- Tadivanashe Marumani’s wicket

Abhishek Sharma got Tadivanashe Marumani caught by Rinku Singh on the fourth ball of the 9th over. This was the turning point of the match, because Abhishek broke the opening partnership of 63 runs. After this, there was no second fifty partnership from the team.

4. Reasons for defeat

Poor performance of bowlers: Zimbabwe bowlers could not take even 1 wicket of India. Both the openers put pressure on Zimbabwe bowlers from the very beginning. India scored 61 runs in 6 overs of powerplay. Jaiswal did not let any bowler get into rhythm by batting aggressively.

The team could not take advantage of the good start . Zimbabwe’s batsmen had a great start. They scored 44 runs without losing a wicket in the first 6 overs. But Zimbabwe’s middle order batsmen could not perform well. At one time Zimbabwe’s innings was reaching a score of 170. But the Indian bowlers bowled brilliantly and stopped Zimbabwe’s team at 153 runs.

Sikandar Raza Captain Sikandar Raza, who performed brilliantly for Zimbabwe throughout the series, played a brilliant game. He handled the faltering innings of Zimbabwe during batting and scored 46 runs in 28 balls. He hit 2 fours and 3 sixes in the innings.
