Why was Vinesh Phogat case dismissed? Is there still hope for a silver medal? The lawyer revealed Big Secrets

Vinesh Phogat Case Dismissed: Vinesh Phogat's lawyer's statement has come out on the dismissal of her case. Know what Vinesh can do now?

Vinesh Phogat Case Dismissed: In the Vinesh Phogat case, CAS had fixed the date of decision on 16 August. But the court arbitrating sports has dismissed the case of the Indian wrestler on 14 August itself. Now lawyer Vidushpat Singhania, who went to Paris to support Vinesh, has broken his silence on this matter. He told why the case was dismissed?

Why was the case dismissed?

Vinesh Phogat’s lawyer Vidushpat Singhania, while talking to ANI, said that no details have been released yet on the dismissal of the case. So far, only a one-line statement has been issued by CAS, which states that Vinesh’s appeal is rejected. Even the lawyers are not aware yet why the decision took so long and why the case has been dismissed.

Lawyer Vidushpat further said, “As far as the decision coming on August 16 is concerned, the date of August 16 was set as a limit and we knew that the decision could come anytime before that. We are surprised and disappointed by this decision.”

Is all hope lost?

The full details of this decision will be revealed in the next 10-15 days, which will also mention the basis on which the judge has given this decision. People were hoping that Vinesh would get the silver medal, but despite the case being dismissed by CAS, the Indian wrestler’s hope of getting a medal is not over. Vinesh’s lawyer said that once all the details are received, an appeal can be made again after 30 days.

In which court can the decision be challenged?

The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) mediates in matters related to sports. Since Vinesh has not been able to get justice from here, she can now challenge the CAS decision in the ‘Swiss Federal Tribunal’ court located in Switzerland. Vidushpat Singhania said that Harish Salve is with him as a senior lawyer and the appeal to challenge the decision will be worked with him.
