CG Weather Update: Weather set to change in the state; fluctuations in temperature expected—check the Meteorological Department’s forecast.

CG Weather Update: Even after the withdrawal of the monsoon, there is no respite from the heat in Chhattisgarh. Intense daytime sunshine is causing temperatures to rise in several areas of the state, including the capital, Raipur. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in Raipur is expected to remain clear on Monday, with a likely rise of about one degree Celsius in the maximum temperature. However, light rain may occur in some parts of the state.

Rising Heat in Raipur

Residents of the capital, Raipur, are experiencing heat during both the day and night. The sky is expected to remain clear on Monday. Meteorological forecasts suggest that Raipur’s maximum temperature will hover around 35 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is likely to be around 23 degrees Celsius.

Earlier on Sunday, maximum temperatures were recorded across various cities in the state: 33.4°C in Durg, 33.2°C in Jagdalpur, 32.9°C in Mana, 32.4°C in Bilaspur, 31.4°C in Pendra Road, and 31°C in Ambikapur.

Likelihood of Rain and Strong Winds in Some Areas

The Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of very light to light rain at one or two locations in Chhattisgarh on Monday. Some areas may experience thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and strong winds blowing at speeds of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour. According to the department, similar weather conditions are likely to persist in parts of the state over the next two days.

Impact of Trough Line Amidst Monsoon Withdrawal

According to the Meteorological Department, the withdrawal line of the Southwest Monsoon is currently passing through Supaul, Ranchi, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Bijapur, Hyderabad, Belagavi, and Panaji. Conditions may become favorable for the monsoon’s withdrawal from several parts of Northeast India over the next two days.

Additionally, a trough line extends from northwest Rajasthan to northeastern Madhya Pradesh. Amid the withdrawal of the monsoon, the influence of this weather system could bring light rain and thunderstorms to some areas of Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, hot weather conditions are likely to persist across most parts of the state for the time being.
