Kullu Disaster Management said that Kurpan Khad in Jao village of Nirmand has been flooded and seven people are missing here. The department said that two bridges have been broken, while nine houses have been damaged and 11 houses have been washed away. The flood has also swept away 6 shops. Similarly, Parvati river has been flooded in Malana of Kullu. Malana bridge has been washed away here. NDRF team has been sent. 9 people are stranded here.

A landslide has occurred in Tikkan Thalukot village of Padhar in Mandi district and two people have died here and eight people are missing. Three to four houses have collapsed here. One person is injured, who has been admitted to the hospital.

There is a yellow alert of heavy rain at some places from 2 to 6 August and during this time there is a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Una, Bilaspur, Solan, Mandi, Sirmaur, Shimla, Chamba, Kangra. He said that in such a situation, people are advised not to go near rivers and streams, because flash flood situation may arise after heavy rain.

CM called an emergency meeting

After the incidents of cloudburst at five places in Himachal Pradesh late on Wednesday night, CM Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu held an emergency meeting with senior officials to review the damage. The CM said that cloudburst has occurred at three places in Kullu district and one each in Mandi and Shimla. So far two bodies have been recovered, while 50 people are reported missing. The Chief Minister said that in the last 12 hours, one national highway and five roads are blocked due to cloudburst and heavy rain, while three bridges have been damaged.
