It stated that the monsoon trough is active and positioned south of its normal location, while a low-pressure area over northern Madhya Pradesh and adjacent regions is influencing the weather in Central India.

Another cyclonic circulation forming over the northwest Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a low-pressure area around August 12, potentially sustaining rainfall in the eastern and central parts of the country.

Where will it rain?
On August 11, widespread rainfall is likely across Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab, with isolated heavy downpours. Thunderstorms and sudden intense spells of rain may occur in these regions during the day. Widespread rainfall is also expected in Uttarakhand, accompanied by isolated heavy rain. Monsoon activity is set to continue for an extended period across Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and surrounding areas.
In Rajasthan, the eastern region is a primary area of concern, with the possibility of isolated very heavy rainfall on August 11.
Regarding Central India, a low-pressure system over Madhya Pradesh will continue to bring rainfall to the entire region. Widespread rainfall is expected across Western Madhya Pradesh, while Eastern Madhya Pradesh is also likely to experience widespread rain.
Chhattisgarh is also likely to witness heavy rain, thunderstorms, and lightning strikes. The IMD has issued warnings for heavy to very heavy rainfall in parts of Central India, with the potential for intense spells of rain in some locations.
In East and Northeast India, rainfall is expected across Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, and the Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim region.

Significant rainfall is expected across West and South India; the Konkan and Goa region will receive substantial rain, while Gujarat may experience heavy rainfall on August 11.
Heavy rainfall is also likely in Madhya Maharashtra.
In South India, widespread rainfall will continue across Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Lakshadweep; thunderstorms and gusty winds are also likely in several coastal areas.
