According to the Meteorological Department, rain is not expected today in Delhi, nor in Noida, Ghaziabad, or Western Uttar Pradesh. However, there is an alert for heavy rainfall in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Rain is expected in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Western UP (including Noida and Ghaziabad) on July 19 and 20. A warning for heavy rain has also been issued for Eastern Uttar Pradesh from July 17 to 20. Rainfall is expected in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. The Meteorological Department has issued rain alerts for 15 states, including Bengal, Odisha, and Sikkim.
Alert for Heavy Rain in Purvanchal
Regarding the Purvanchal region, forecasts predict heavy rainfall in districts such as Gorakhpur, Basti, Maharajganj, Azamgarh, Ballia, Varanasi, and Ghazipur. In Northwest India—specifically Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Chandigarh—the chances of rain remain low for now. An alert for rainfall in Eastern Rajasthan has been issued for the period of July 15 to 20. Rain is likely to arrive in Western Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh within the next five days. Good rainfall is expected at several locations in Eastern Uttar Pradesh—including areas like Gorakhpur, Basti, and Maharajganj—between July 15 and 17.
Weather in the Northeast Today
According to the Meteorological Department, the formation of a low-pressure area over the northern Bay of Bengal is likely to lead to increased heavy rainfall across Eastern and Northeastern India, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, and the Western Himalayan region over the next seven days. Heavy rain is also expected in Odisha on July 15, following the 14th.
Rain in Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand
Rainfall is forecast for Ladakh and Jammu & Kashmir from July 18 to 20. Meanwhile, the weather is expected to change in Himachal Pradesh, bringing rain between July 17 and 20. Rain is also likely in Uttarakhand from July 16 to 20. Rain Alert for MP and Chhattisgarh

Monsoon Rains in Bengal and Sikkim
Regarding eastern India, rainfall is likely to continue in Bengal and Sikkim through July 20. Odisha and Jharkhand are also expected to receive rain between July 18 and 20. Widespread rainfall is likely in Bihar as well, up to July 16.
