IND vs ENG 2nd Test: The second Test match being played between India and England in Visakhapatnam has reached an exciting situation. On the third day, Team India gave a target of 399 runs to England. In response, the British scored 67 runs for one wicket by the end of the day’s play. The surprising thing was that England scored this score in only 14 overs. Now, while Team India is looking for 9 wickets to win, the visiting English team has to score 332 runs.Â
Even on the fourth day, England can play attacking cricket, which is called baseball. In such a situation, an exciting battle can be seen between Indian spinners and baseball. However, it is not going to be easy for England to chase the target of 399 runs, because no team in India has ever achieved such a big target.
Team India created history in 2008
Team India holds the record for the biggest run chase on Indian soil. In 2008, the Indian team chased the target of 387 runs against England. In such a situation, what remains to be seen will be what wonders the English team does in the second innings. Ever since Brendon McCullum became the coach of England, the English team is known for playing attacking cricket (baseball), but the British have not achieved such a big target till now.
Indian innings ended at 255 runs
After gaining a lead of 143 runs in the first innings, Team India could score only 255 runs in the second innings. Shubman Gill played a brilliant century of 104 runs in the second innings for India. Gill hit 11 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. This is Gill’s third century in Test cricket.
Yashasvi Jaiswal did wonders in the first innings
Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal had scored a double century in the first innings. In his historic innings, Jaiswal hit 19 fours and 7 sixes. However, apart from him, no other Indian batsman could score a big score. In the first innings, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 209 runs, Shubman Gill scored 34 runs, Rajat Patidar scored 32 runs and Akshar Patel scored 27 runs.Â
