Political Earthquake: Mamata Banerjee Drops Alliance Bombshell, Trinamool Congress to Go Solo in Lok Sabha Elections!

Big blow to 'INDIA' alliance: Mamata Banerjee announces - Will contest elections alone in Bengal, my proposals were rejected.

Mamata Banerjee Drops Alliance: Before the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, the India alliance has suffered a major setback. Trinamool Congress (TMC) Chief and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has made it clear that her party will contest the elections alone in the state. Making this big announcement on Wednesday (January 24, 2024), she vented out his anger on Congress and the Left. Mamata Banerjee claimed that all her proposals were rejected so she has decided to fight alone.

According to Didi, TMC will not coordinate with anyone in Bengal. His party was not given any information about Congress’ Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Bengal. Nor did Congress discuss anything about this with them. Whatever proposals were given by CM Mamata were rejected. Further venting out anger on Congress, TMC supremo further said that Congress has nothing to do with West Bengal. His proposal was rejected on the very first day.

TMC will defeat BJP on its own – Mamata Banerjee’s claim

According to Mamata Banerjee, “I had no discussion with Congress. I have always said that we will fight alone in Bengal. I am not worried about what will be done in the country but we are a secular party and are in Bengal. We will single-handedly defeat the BJP. I am part of the India alliance. Rahul Gandhi’s Nyay Yatra is passing through our state but we were not informed about it.”

When and where is Congress’s NYAY Yatra entering Bengal?

Congress’ Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, which started from Manipur in the North East state, will cover a total distance of 523 kilometers in 5 days in West Bengal, covering 7 districts. On Thursday (January 25, 2024) it will enter Bengal from Cooch Behar. However, a senior leader of the party had told the media that the yatra will not go to the state capital Kolkata.

Didi was angry at Congress a day ago regarding seat sharing.

A day before this, on Tuesday (January 23, 2024), Mamata Banerjee had criticized Congress for delaying the discussion on seat sharing in Bengal, citing ‘unreasonable’ demand for 10-12 Lok Sabha constituencies. TMC had offered only two seats to Congress in the state. CM Banerjee said this during a closed-door organizational meeting of the party unit of Birbhum district, which is considered a Trinamool stronghold.

Everyone fought alone in 2019, TMC suffered the most loss

In the 2019 general elections, all the parties in West Bengal fought alone. At that time, when all the parties fought alone against BJP, only BJP benefited. In comparison to 2014, all parties suffered losses in 2019. All three parties, Congress, TMC and Left, had suffered losses. Congress’s seats were reduced by 2, while Left’s seats were also reduced by 2. At the same time, TMC had suffered the most loss. Mamata Banerjee’s party’s 12 seats were then reduced.
