“Best wishes to all my family members in the country”: PM Modi’s message on Holi

Many leaders including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also wished the countrymen on the festival of colours, Holi

Holi 2024: PM Narendra Modi on Sunday wished the countrymen a Happy Holi and hoped that this traditional festival decorated with the colours of love and harmony brings new energy and enthusiasm in everyone’s life. Many leaders including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla have also wished the countrymen a Happy Holi. Holika Dahan will take place in the country on Tuesday and the festival of colours Holi will be celebrated on Monday. In some parts of the country, the process of playing Holi started on Tuesday itself.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in a post on the social media platform ‘X’, “Many many happy wishes to all my family members in the country. May this traditional festival decorated with the colors of affection and harmony bring new energy and enthusiasm in the lives of all of you.”

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla greeted people on Holi. Birla said in his message, “My family members of the whole country, I wish Holi to all of you. He said in the message- “Holi is a festival of colors and happiness. This festival promotes unity and brotherhood by bringing together all the people of the society. Holi teaches us that evil is always destroyed and goodness always progresses. We should also move forward in life with this feeling.

The Lok Sabha Speaker said, “Dear family members, this year Lord Shri Ram Lalla has been seated in his grand and new temple in Ayodhya Dham, that is why this Holi is special for all of us. May this festival bring happiness in everyone’s life, this is my prayer to Lord Shri Ram.”

Birla said, “On this occasion, I would like to appeal to all of you that when we do shopping for the festival, we should do it from our local shopkeepers and street vendors, so that everyone can celebrate the festival together. With this message, once again I wish you all a Happy Holi.”

Lok Sabha Speaker Birla also participated in a program in his Lok Sabha constituency Kota on the occasion of Holi. He wrote on Instagram – “Radhe-Radhe… I had a divine experience by participating in Brij Fagotsav and Virat Nagar Sankirtan Parikrama organized in the parliamentary constituency Kota. I felt divinity in my heart by receiving the blessings of Thakurji and being colored in the colors of faith and devotion with the devotees immersed in the love of God.”

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister CM Vishnu Dev Sai has wished people a Happy Holi. He said, “I want to wish the people of Chhattisgarh a Happy Holi. Today, I am participating in a Holi Milan program in my constituency. Tomorrow I will be in my native village to celebrate Holi.”

Holi was celebrated at the residence of Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He said, “My best wishes to the people of the state on this auspicious occasion of Holi. The festival of Holi is celebrated with great enthusiasm and happiness…it is a wonderful festival.”
