On National Unity Day, CM Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to Sardar Patel, stating that the ‘Iron Man’ was the great architect of unity and integrity.

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai paid tribute to the ‘Iron Man’ and Bharat Ratna recipient, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on the occasion of his birth anniversary and National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas). At his official residence in Civil Lines, the Chief Minister offered flowers to a portrait of Sardar Patel and honored his unparalleled contribution to the nation’s unity, integrity, and national integration.

Chief Minister Sai stated that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was the great architect of India’s unity and integrity. Through his firm willpower, indomitable courage, and skillful leadership, he integrated hundreds of princely states following independence, laying the foundation for a strong and unified India. His contribution to nation-building will always be remembered in Indian history.

The Chief Minister remarked that the life of Sardar Patel serves as an inspiration for prioritizing the national interest, discipline, devotion to duty, and public service. Even in the face of difficult circumstances, he never compromised his principles and placed the nation’s unity above all else. His life teaches us that any challenge can be overcome through firm resolve and collective effort.

The Chief Minister noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, continuous efforts are being made to realize Sardar Patel’s vision of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ (One India, Great India). The nation is advancing toward the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India), setting new benchmarks in development, good governance, and self-reliance.

He emphasized that National Unity Day is not merely a day to commemorate Sardar Patel’s contributions, but also an occasion to reaffirm the commitment to upholding the nation’s unity, integrity, and social harmony. India’s diverse languages, cultures, and traditions are its greatest strengths. Moving forward while keeping everyone bound together by the thread of unity is the truest tribute to Sardar Patel.

Chief Minister Sai urged the people of the state to embrace the ideals of Sardar Patel and contribute to the nation’s unity, integrity, and prosperity. He also called upon them to take a pledge to build a strong, harmonious, and developed Chhattisgarh.
