Now Gambhir himself has reacted to becoming the head coach of Team India. He said that India is his identity and there can be no greater honor for him than serving the country. Gautam Gambhir issued a statement on becoming the head coach of Team India and said – India is my identity and for me there is nothing more important than serving the country. I feel honored to be back in the Indian team, but this time the hat on my head will be different. My goal has always been to make every Indian feel proud. The Indian team carries the burden of the dreams of 140 crore people on its shoulders and I will try my best to fulfill those dreams along with the Indian team.

These 3 biggest challenges will be in front of Team India’s new head coach Gautam Gambhir

Let us tell you that Gambhir was the mentor of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), which became the IPL champion this year. He is known for his aggressive strategies and clear vision. So let’s know what can be the 3 biggest challenges before Gambhir after becoming the head coach of Team India.

1. How will you gain the trust of young players?

It is well known that Gautam Gambhir does not hesitate in taking aggressive decisions. In such a situation, the question will be how will Gambhir be able to coordinate with the emerging young players. Among the young players, only those players will know Gambhir who have played for Lucknow Super Giants or KKR in IPL. Others may also have problems with Gambhir’s way of working. The big question remains that how will Gambhir be able to create a happy atmosphere within the team along with taking tough decisions?

2. Who will replace Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma?

It will also be a big goal for the new head coach Gautam Gambhir to take the T20 team forward in the absence of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Rohit and Virat retired from the shorter format after winning the T20 World Cup. After their departure, Team India will need a new leader. Although Hardik Pandya is being seen as the new captain, but who will be the replacement of Virat and Rohit in batting, completing this task can prove to be a very difficult task for Gambhir.

3. How to get success in Test cricket?

The Indian team was at the first position in the Test rankings some time back, but now it has come to the second position. But how to get success in the World Test Championship, this still remains a big question. India has reached the final of the World Test Championship both the times, but has lost both times. The team was defeated by New Zealand in 2021 and Australia in 2023. India has lost both the times after coming close to victory, it will also be worth watching what decision Gambhir takes in this matter.
